LED Dental traces its roots back to the mid-1990s, when company founder Peter Whitehead began performing oral cancer research in conjunction with the British Columbia Cancer Agency (BCCA). In early 2014, LED Dental entered the dental imaging market in response to the explosive growth in dental CAD/CAM and the shift away from film-based systems to faster, more efficient and higher quality digital imaging solutions.
