The Office of Compliance (OOC) is an independent, non-partisan agency established to administer and enforce the Congressional Accountability Act (CAA) of 1995. OOC administers and ensures the integrity of the dispute resolution system established to resolve disputes that arise under the CAA; carries out an education and training program for Congressional Members, employing offices, and Congressional employees to assist them in understanding their rights and responsibilities under the CAA; and advises Congress on needed changes and amendments to the CAA. The General Counsel of the OOC has independent investigatory and enforcement authority for certain violations of the CAA.
U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command has approximately 2,500 globally distributed military and civilian personnel, who collect, and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to guarantee the U.S. Navy`s freedom of operation in the physical battlespace from the depths of the ocean to the stars. An experienced early adopter of unmanned systems, we employ inventive ways to inform tactical decisions and depict information. We are a key component of the Navy`s innovative culture and a catalyst for future evolution, and we must outpace our competition to ensure American Forces retain a technical warfighting edge.
The NC Department of Insurance regulates the insurance industry, licensing insurance professionals and others, educating consumers about different types of insurance, handling consumer complaints, and much more. The Department also houses the Office of State Fire Marshal. Any insurance business in this state first must be approved by the Commissioner, and companies and agents must meet rigorous standards before they receive a license to do that business. The Department of Management Services (DMS) is the business arm of Florida government. The Department`s primary mission is to support sister agencies as well as current and former state employees with workforce and business-related functions so that agencies can focus on their core missions as defined in law. The Department of Management Services was created in 1993 after the Departments of Administration and General Services merged. This new agency was formed to improve services and reduce administrative overhead.
