The Chief Information Officer will be responsible for all of the information management processes associated with the Sentara integrated health system. He/she will also define the structure and strategic direction of the Information System function so that it seamlessly matches and supports the strategic direction of the organization. The new CIO will evaluate the capability of current business information systems to meet future needs, and he/she will work with key stakeholders within the organization to develop an IT strategy that will support the organization’s strategic plan.
