The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will be a senior member of the Human Capital Team
that is challenged with building a best-in-class talent management organization that
attracts individuals with strong leadership capabilities that value exceptional customer
service and contribute to a high performing culture. This position is directly
responsible for leading the recruiting strategy and execution for the Corporate Office
and the communities. The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will be tasked with successfully
managing a recruiting team and collaborating across functions with departments
including Training and Development, Operations and Acquisitions and Development.
The Vice President of Talent Acqusition will directly manage senior level searches for
Corporate positions and searches for Executive Directors at the communities.
Essential Functions:
· Creates, manages and implements effective recruiting strategies for the organization, leveraging technology and increasing system functionality where appropriate, to identify talent streams both inside and outside of the seniors housing sector.
· Identifies and evaluates the effectiveness of assessment tools for pre employment screening and job applicant selection for both management and front line staff and partners with Training and Development to ensure that the assessment tools being utilized are measured and evaluated for effectiveness.
· Takes an active role in staffing planning for acquisitions and developments and collaborates with development team to ensure that pre opening staffing models are adequately supported.
· Manages exempt level searches for the Corporate Office and Executive Director searches at the community level.
· Manages the performance of the Recruiting team.
· Collaborates with the Vice President of Marketing to ensure that prospective job seekers have a favorable experience in visiting Senior Lifestyles Career Site, Social Media Sites and Online Employee Review Sites.
· Collaborates with Vice President of Training and Development to ensure that the community level management teams are properly equipped to source, vet and select candidates that are customer service driven and that are a fit with the cultural norms of the organization.
· Collaborates with Vice President of Training and Development to develop and execute an effective Manager in Training program in order to build bench strength.
· Accountable for developing and managing Internship and Manager in Training Programs with local agencies and universities.
