Responsibilities
o Be a thinker, an architect and a tinkerer
o Be a master at understanding complex systems

o Develop effective engineering processes, and know how to keep them running
o Implement and maintain the importance of software testing practices
o Hire productive, motivated, smart engineers
o Give your team the right balance of autonomy and direction
o Work with partners to develop customized software and hardware
o Stay on top of the latest in server, database, app and hardware technology
o Support a wide range of customers with diverse needs and expectations
o Give customers what they want, not just what they asked for
Requirements
o 5+ Years as CTO or senior engineering executive
o 10+ years proven experience in software engineering
o Experience working with, programming and developing custom hardware
o Know Ruby on Rails, Javascript, C and SQL backwards and forwards
o Understand databases intimately
o Appreciate Scoot`s mission of stopping climate change with Electric Vehicles for Everyone
o Have a degree in CS, Engineering, Physics or Math
