Established in 1986, Multiwood has grown from a small two-man shop to one of the largest manufacturers of cabinet doors and finishing materials in Alberta. Our mission statement says it all: To provide high quality products at competitive prices with on-time deliveries, while striving to provide a safe and friendly work environment. Our line includes an extensive style selection of solid wood and MDF cabinet and passage doors, hardwood mouldings, butcher-block counter tops, solid wood dove-tail drawer boxes and custom millwork parts, all manufactured in our 53,000 square foot south-east Calgary facility. We are also the exclusive Alberta manufacturer of Nexgen Polyester-Wrapped cabinet doors. In 2010, we became a distributor for both Northern Contours Thermofoil and Element Designs Aluminum Doors. Additionally, we carry a wide variety of hardwood plywood, melamine and MDF sheet goods. We sell a selection of cabinet hardware, including pulls, knobs, hinges and slides. WCA is a full-service architecture, interior design and decorating firm based in New York City. West Chin, the principal architect behind WCA is known for his distinctly modern commercial and residential work. Selected by New York magazine as one of “The City’s 100 Best Architects and Decorators”, West topped Interior Design magazine’s industry list as “Kitchen & Bath Design Leader”, and was chosen by New York Spaces magazine to be included in their annual “10 under 40: New Faces of Design”. West Chin founded a design/build firm in 1992, which became the foundation for his architectural practice WCA. He maintains a design philosophy that combines style with functionality, utilizing minimal, clean lines to create fluid, light-filled, spacious environments. His work includes high-end commercial and residential projects for fashion clients, artists, entertainers and entrepreneurs garnering press from magazines to design books. WCA launched a modern furniture and accessory collection under the name FTF Design Studio in 2006. The collection is an extension of the custom designs that West and Roseann created for their private clients. The products are available at the FTF Design Studio showroom in Manhattan, as well as select retailers nationwide and online.
