The San Diego Padres are a Major League Baseball team based in San Diego.. They play in the National League Western Division. As of 2012, they have had 13 winning seasons in franchise history.They, and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, are the only MLB California teams to originate from California, while the Athletics are originally from Philadelphia, and the Dodgers and Giants are originally from New York.
