The Role
S&P Global Ratings is looking for an innovative and exceptional leader to drive the HR Strategy in support of the S&P Global Ratings business. Reporting to the President of S&P Global Ratings; you will play a highly strategic and facilitative role. You will support the President and the Ratings Executive Team on key human capital initiatives that drive business results
The right person for this role has a global mindset demonstrating a broad; yet deep; knowledge of HR disciplines; proven OD/OE experience that successfully aligns to the business strategy and is grounded in diagnostics and decision making through data & analytics.

Constituencies
The VP of HR role interfaces with a wide range of constituencies in a global; diverse and matrixed environment:
• Division President and respective executive committees
• Global HR team including CHRO; Divisional HRBP teams; HR Centers of Excellence
• Functional Leaders: CFO; CIO; CHRO; Chief Legal Counsel; EVP Public Affairs
• Other global senior leaders – key initiatives; employee resource groups; thought leaders
• External constituencies; on behalf of the President
Key Focus
• Leadership for the Ratings Talent Strategy
• Aligning organizational design to the business strategy; that maximizes organizational effectiveness and efficiency
• Using People Data & Analytics to drive decision making and dig into key HR questions
• Innovative thinking around talent; leadership and learning - taking into account future talent needs and changing workforce trends
• Driving programs that ensure a diverse; collaborative; motivated and high performance culture
• Delivery of annual HR programs such as performance reviews; promotions; succession planning; and action plans resulting from employee and manager feedback.
• Manage union employee initiatives; such as collective bargaining agreement (Guild)
Other Responsibilities
• Ensure a team of motivated; highly effective and engaged team of HR Business Partners to allow the coordination and management of a full range of HR activities across a global; diverse set of Ratings business units/teams; partner with regional HR colleagues to ensure global agenda is achieved while managing to local requirements.
• Provide insights to business heads and their teams on complex HR issues; to include employee relations; talent development; retention and recruitment strategies
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to deliver important communications ensuring alignment on key priorities; ability to recognize and involve specialist members of other resources within HR where appropriate.
• Design and deliver creative HR solutions that assist in sustaining a positive working environment to foster employee engagement.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement.
Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in financial services; professional services or related field; comprehensive understanding of S&P Global s businesses; products and services
• Proven leader and manager of a globally distributed team of HR Business Partners
• Ability to represent the role and the Global Ratings Business with a style that is aligned with the President; maturity to work with confidence and urgency and balancing the role without ego
• Manage various high profile projects simultaneously with strong project management capability
• Experience managing demanding deadlines; changing requirements; and working with limited information
• Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of constituents
• Proven ability to navigate effectively and efficiently within a large matrixed organization
• Strong financial and business acumen; with an analytical mindset
• Very high standards of quality; accuracy and timeliness
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
