The Avoyelles Parish Police Jury is the foundation of our Parish government. The Police Jury is consistently striving to make our parish a better and safer place to live. The Police Jury is the mechanism behind the scenes that ensures our community and way of life can be enjoyed from day to day. They are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of parish roads and bridges, enforcing parish ordinances, and providing a host of local services.

We further create value through vertical integration of yarn processing , yarn dyeing, heat setting , and tufting, with plants located in Dalton, Chatsworth, and Calhoun, Georgia. In total Marquis Industries, the parent company of Best Buy, has over 500,000 square feet under roof of manufacturing and warehouse facilities, making Best Buy one of the top 10 residential carpet manufactures in the country.
