HydraForce was founded near Chicago by several partners who saw the mobile equipment industry’s need for high-quality, cost-effective, space-saving cartridge valves delivered in a timely and responsive manner. Industrial Valco was founded in 1947 by Charles "Nick" Nichols in his garage following the conclusion of World War II to supply reconditioned valves to industry. As the business began to grow, fittings and flanges were added to its offerings and soon Nick was scouring the country securing material to help distributors fill shortages in their inventory. What made Industrial Valco unique was that it was a distributor who only sold to other distributors. With this simple idea a new trade channel was formed; Master Distribution.
