The Economic Club of Florida was established in 1977 and is today recognized as one of the South’s most important forums for distinguished speakers on issues of the day. Our membership includes more than 350 of the Who’s Who of Florida’s capital city, including leaders from the halls of government, political strategists and the business savvy. From past Governors, Cabinet members and Supreme Court Justices to business owners, chairs and CEOs of companies and organizations, our membership covers those who are well-established and those who are the up-and-coming professionals in the political and business arenas. At the Economic Club of Florida, we pride ourselves on the caliber of speakers that come from around the world to discuss important issues of the day. Our roster of speakers includes national and international figures, ranging from Presidential candidates and diplomats to leaders of business and finance. We have even had the privilege of featuring speakers, such as an astronaut who went to the moon, the owner of the New York Yankees and the Secretary General of the United Nations. Farm Sanctuary was founded in 1986 to combat the abuses of factory farming and encourage a new awareness and understanding about farm animals. Today, Farm Sanctuary is the nation`s largest and most effective farm animal rescue and protection organization. We have rescued thousands of animals and cared for them at our sanctuaries in Watkins Glen, New York; Northern California (Orland); and the Los Angeles area. At Farm Sanctuary, these animals are our friends, not our food. We educate millions of people about their plight and the effects of factory farming on our health and environment. We advocate for laws and policies to prevent suffering and promote compassion, and we reach out to legislators and businesses to bring about institutional reforms.

Our Mission Endeavors passionately serves vulnerable people in crisis through our innovative, personalized approach. We seek to provide comprehensive, effective, and innovative services that encourage growth, allowing people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. Why? Our Work Our work centers around homelessness, unemployment, child abuse, disabilities, and disasters by connecting individuals and families to services like education, crisis intervention, case management, homeless prevention services, parent training, practical life skills, and vocational support, training, and employment. Our Story In 1969, several of San Antonio`s inner-city churches banded together to launch “Urban Ministries,” to help meet various needs within the local San Antonio community. Eventually, this program expanded in scope, reach, and geography, to become Endeavors®, a national, innovative nonprofit that serves as a model within an evolving behavioral health and social service landscape.
