To help the university reach its goals, the OSU Foundation aspires to develop into one of the premier public university fundraising programs by capitalizing on past successes, an engaged alumni community, and the experience of existing and new professionals. In October 2007, the OSU Foundation publicly launched the university’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign, following an extensive, university-wide planning process which resulted in OSU’s Strategic Plan for the 21st Century. In 2012, the goal for The Campaign for OSU was increased to $1 billion in response to an outpouring of community support.
