Hotel Zelos San Francisco (formerly the Hotel Palomar) resides in the historic Pacific Building, which opened in 1907. The Pacific Building was originally built as office space, however, the 5th to 9th floors became the Hotel Palomar in 1999. The lower floors are faced with red tile and the upper floors are green tile with white trim, which the architect, Charles Whittlesey, compared to a beautiful lady dressed in a stylish outfit.
