The original Qumu technology for managing and publishing video content was built by eScene Networks in 1999. eScene was acquired by Inktomi in 2001` and Inktomi invested significantly to advance the product and sell it under the name Media Publisher. Our company was born in 2002 when Inktomi was purchased by Yahoo. Two former eScene executives believed in the potential of video management and publishing to shape the way businesses communicate.
