Our design team works hard every season to not only elevate the look and feel of our seasonal collection, but also to incorporate innovative and sustainable fabrics and practices to improve performance and lessen our impact on the planet. Our name, prAna, holds great meaning to us. It is an ancient Sanskrit word for breath, life and vitality of the spirit. We are honored to borrow this word as our company name, as it lifts our aspirations and helps guide our actions towards a socially mindful and environmentally sustainable organization. We started back in 1993 in Carlsbad, California and we continue to grow and resonate with like-minded people; climbers, surfers, athletes of all flavors, yogis, artists and free spirited folks around the world. prAna continues to evolve steadily and naturally, rippling with widening circles into the passionate community of those who love the outdoors, artists, athletes, and environmentally and socially mindful individuals.
