Founded in 1910 and located in Durham, N.C., North Carolina Central University was the nation`s first publicly supported liberal arts college for African-Americans, and it is one of 17 institutions in the University of North Carolina system. Founded in 1946, Mohawk Valley Community College is a public, co-educational, two-year institution. The College is a unit of the sixty-four campus State University of New York System (SUNY). MVCC provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of its students.
