Every day, the ministries of Genacross Lutheran Services touch the lives of youth, families, and senior adults in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Genacross provides a continuum of senior living services, youth and family care services, and outpatient services that focus on enhancing people`s lives. While our rich heritage spans more than 160 years, we embrace change so that our charitable ministry continues to evolve to meet current needs. Meadville Medical Center is an outstanding community hospital located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The hospital continually works to meet the community`s needs by maintaining up-to-date and state-of-the-art facilities. We are a leader in healthcare in northwestern Pennsylvania, with the newest technology, including the latest generation of ultrasound, CT and MRI technology. Our medical staff of more than 100 consists of 37 medical/surgical specialties, with an extensive primary care foundation. With a service area covering 75,000 individuals in Crawford County as well as an additional 150,000 persons from northwestern Pennsylvania, the Meadville Medical Center has annual inpatient admissions of approximately 7,617 and more than 215,742 outpatient visits. The Emergency Department alone reports 37,690 visits yearly and approximately 650 babies are born here each year.
The Becket Family of Services is an alliance of nonprofit agencies founded in 1964 by Marine Sergeant John J. Wolter Ed. D., with the goal of helping struggling adolescents find a “zest for life" and succeed in the “business of life.” Inspired by Dr. Wolter`s pragmatic and comprehensive vision, Becket has evolved to serve a range of youth and adults in various settings throughout central and northern New England. Our programs and services include home and community based treatment and support, residential treatment programs, group homes, and special education schools. Becket is known for its ability to achieve successful outcomes with difficult-to-serve individuals.
