Mines was founded in 2014 by a small group of computer scientists working on an artificial intelligence research project at Stanford University. Having grown up in the developing world and understanding how difficult it is to get a loan, or a credit card, or even a month-to-month apartment in many countries, we decided to direct our energy and expertise towards solving one of the great social equality challenges of our time: access to finance.
The Writers Guild of America, East, (WGAE) is a labor union of thousands of professionals who are the primary creators of what is seen or heard on television and film in the U.S., as well as the writers of a growing portion of original digital media content. Our members write everything from big budget movies to independent films, late night comedy/variety shows to daytime serials, broadcast and radio news, web series, documentaries, and animation. The WGAE works on their behalf to promote and protect the professional and artistic interests of this diverse community. On joining the Guild, writers from an extraordinarily vast range of backgrounds and abilities unite to promote, protect, and maintain important artistic and professional principles. The Guild’s assistance is provided regardless of the writers’ degree of success.
National Pecan is building North America’s leading diversified and fully integrated grower, accumulator, processor and marketer of pecans. National Pecan provides both inshell and shelled pecans and pecan-based products around the world. We are currently looking to expand our asset base and are an active buyer of both orchards and processing facilities. We also acquire inshell pecans from third party growers to complement our in-house production.
