Silencerco

Silencerco was formed in 2008 with the intent to create the best silencers by thinking outside the box and by solving problems in unconventional ways. The founders thought the only way to make a foothold in this competitive industry was to bring new products to the market only if they were a significant improvement over what was already available in competitors’ products.    Silencerco has a mission to continually focus on improvement, innovation, creativity and problem solving. Silencerco decided it was time to introduce new, forward thinking ideas to the market and forever change the landscape of the suppressor industry. Silencerco is dedicated to creating products that will improve sound reduction levels, improve durability and longevity, improve form and function, and improve ease of use and maintenance, and to do it in ways never thought of or achieved.   Over the last few years Silencerco has had incredible growth and impressive market penetration with only a few products. Silencerco now has a full product line and continues to grab market share and expand into more markets. Silencerco was named 202nd fastest growing company by Inc. Magazine and continues to earn awards for innovation, and growth. Silencerco is expanding our operations, adding jobs, and building a team that will continue to not only lead the silencer industry, but will also be a benchmark for innovation, marketing, education, and success in the general firearms market, military, and exports.

Orbital ATK

Orbital ATK is built on the strong heritage of two great companies, Orbital Sciences Corporation and ATK, with a history of collaboration providing reliable, affordable and innovative products for almost 25 years. Orbital was founded in 1982 by three friends who met while attending Harvard Business School. Armed with business school studies and an initial round of financing, David Thompson, Scott Webster, and Bruce Ferguson, developed a plan for what would become their first product – the Transfer Orbit Stage (TOS) for NASA. In the three decades that followed, Orbital grew to become a premier provider of space-related systems, pioneering new commercially-driven products and services to make space accessible to millions of people on Earth. ATK was launched as an independent company in 1990, when Honeywell spun off its defense businesses to shareholders. The former Honeywell businesses had supplied defense products and systems to the U.S. and its allies for 50 years. ATK expanded into the aerospace market with the acquisitions of Hercules Aerospace Company in 1995 and Thiokol Propulsion in 2001. A series of notable contracts and acquisitions continued to increase the ATK`s presence in aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. Orbital ATK was formed though the combination of Orbital and the aerospace and defense businesses of ATK. The merger was announced in April 2014 and closed in February 2015.
