During the 2009-2010 school year, Forney ISD had a total enrollment of more than 8,000 students and more than 1,100 teachers and staff. The make up of the district includes nine elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools and one alternative school spread out across the district that spans more than 79 square miles.
