The Community Child Care Council of Sonoma County – known as 4Cs – is a non-profit agency located in Sonoma County, California. 4Cs is dedicated to supporting and providing quality, accessible and affordable preschool and child care services for children, families and child care professionals through education, resources, and direct services. 4Cs also operates 12 state-funded preschools throughout Sonoma county. The mission of the Community Child Care Council is to inspire our community to support the well-being of every child and to improve the quality and availability of child care in Sonoma County. We take pride in our work and our commitment to and responsibility for the children and families we serve. We support diversity and cultural competence among staff, in curriculum, and in our office practices. We strive to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in supportive relationships with each other and clients. We believe in fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, open communication and cooperation. We strive to practice healthy boundaries, separating work values, and balance these qualities with compassion, mutual support and flexibility. We recognize initiative, self-discipline and positive attitudes as leadership qualities, and strive to foster these qualities among all staff.
At the Kansas Health Foundation, all of our work centers on our mission: To improve the health of all Kansans. To understand our Foundation’s mission, it’s helpful to know how we define health. We join with the World Health Organization in believing that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
When children thrive, communities can thrive. United Way of Greater Atlanta is focusing on ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Communities that can say, “All the children are well” have babies born healthy, kids who read proficiently by 3rd grade and teens who graduate from high school ready for college and careers. These are kids that grow up in communities where people are educated, employed, and housed. With our partners (and you!) we can ensure this is a thriving community. We and our nonprofit, business, volunteer, donor, government and foundation partners work to improve the living situations for all. We understand the needs of the community and encourage action – whether through contributing time, talent or treasure. No one can do it alone. That`s why we LIVE UNITED!
