St. John Medical Center Foundation offers financial support for the operations and continued growth of St. John Health System. The Foundation solicits and receives grants, contributions, donations and gifts that help support, promote, advance and strengthen the work of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother. Though Franklin County is a rural area, you don't need to travel to a large urban hospital for care. The Emergency Department at Weems Hospital is well-equipped and open 24 hours a day, everyday. Should more invasive care become necessary, Weems Hospital has a fleet of ground ambulances with well-trained paramedics and EMTs. If you are having what you suspect is cardiac or pulmonary distress, Weems Emergency staff are ready to assist you within minutes. Recent studies show the average Weems patient is seen in the emergency room and released within one hour and fifty minutes of his/her coming through the hospital door.
