Union County Public Schools is located south of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the 6th largest and fastest growing school system in the state. It currently has 53 schools with 30 elementary, 9 middle, 11 high, and 3 special purpose schools. The current enrollment is over 38,000 students.
The Madison County School District serves more than 10,000 students in Preschool through the 12th grade. Our district’s Early Childhood Program serves about 350 pre-schoolers. We also operate the Madison County Day Treatment Center, Madison County Secondary GED Program, Middle College at EKU, and 12 Family/Youth Resource Centers that serve our students and their families.
