The University of Puerto Rico, founded in 1903, is a public university system made up of eleven campuses distributed throughout Puerto Rico; all campuses are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. With a vibrant academic community of over 62,000 students, 5,000 faculty members and 8,000 non–teaching employees, the University is the largest Hispanic Serving Institution in the United States. In Puerto Rico one of every two degrees at the college level is granted by the University of Puerto Rico. TRU is a unique combination of traditional undergraduate and graduate degree programs, many allowing diploma and certificate program holders access through laddering, along with flexible degree completion through distance education as the BC Centre for Open Learning.
Gammon/ITC is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school is a member of the Atlanta Theological Association, among other organizations, and maintains cross-registration arrangements with Candler School of Theology at Emory University, Clark Atlanta University, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Morehouse School of Medicine.
