Position Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will develop, implement, and direct the global fiscal functions of Newzulu.
Reporting directly to the Executive Chairman, the CFO will coordinate Newzulu financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
• Employee will perform with the highest integrity and ethical standards in accordance with the Newzulu Code of Conduct.
• Create an atmosphere of open dialogue and build relationships appropriately for a global/ diverse employee population.
Functional Responsibilities
• Develop timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Executive Chairman, the Board and other senior executives in executing decisions.
• Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on the evaluation of potential acquisitions and/or mergers.
• Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
• Implement effective internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial/tax reporting in all company locations.
• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter.
• May have direct and/or indirect supervision of all employees in the accounting and finance department globally.
• Participate in the development of Newzulu plans and programs as a strategic partner.
• Evaluate the finance department structure/team and plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness.
• May provide indirect supervision to employees associated with financial and/or budgetary duties for the company

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the company and with staff in remote locations.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Experience
• BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA Desirable
• Knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting procedures and supporting a publicly traded company.
• 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles. 5+ years experience in Digital Media or Tech
