The HR Business Partner`s primary role is as a trusted advisor, playing a consultative role to New York Life`s leaders and employees in the delivery of all HR services. Key accountabilities include, advising leaders in defining specific talent priorities, educating managers and employees at all levels on HR solutions, representing HR`s perspective in business decisions, and ensuring business perspectives are represented in HR objectives.
This role will be based in Westchester, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
• Defines and executes workforce planning and strategies
• Guides business leaders through organizational design and staffing decisions and guides managers through organizational change
• Identifies the current and future talent needs to evaluate and develop bench strength
• Manages strategies to identify and develop talent at all levels of the organization
• Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management
• Determines business issues requiring compensation solutions
• Maintains in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
• Provides business leaders and managers with guidance on policies, procedures and communications
• Leads established HR activities such as the performance management process, employee engagement survey, annual compensation program, and talent review
• Partners with HR delivery areas to identify solutions to business needs and implement core HR programs and policies including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, organizational development, diversity, compensation and systems
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues
• Manages a small team that helps deliver on HR responsibilities
