We gather and analyze foreign Signals Intelligence to produce vital information for U.S. policy makers and warfighters. And we protect American intelligence from the ever-listening ears of our adversaries. Our goal is to use intelligence to give the U.S. a decisive information advantage. At the same time, our Signals Intelligence mission intercepts, decrypts, analyzes, and disseminates intelligence information from foreign signals. This Agency also enables Network Warfare operations to defeat terrorists and their organizations at home and abroad, consistent with U.S. laws and the protection of privacy and civil liberties. At the Nations top cryptologic organization, we employ the best and the brightest, who use their intelligence to solve some of the Nations most difficult challenges. NSA is the world leader in many technology fields and conducts one of the U.S. Governments leading research and development programs. We are also the largest employer of Mathematicians in the country, as well as one of the most important centers of foreign language analysis and research.
