We are an office of 150 people mandated by the Auditor General Act to examine and report publicly on the government of Alberta`s management of the public resources entrusted to it.
Under the leadership of Auditor Suzanne Bump, the Office of the State Auditor is committed to ensuring that every dollar given to state government is a dollar well spent and that state agencies and contractors follow the rules when spending public funds. To these ends, the Office conducts performance and technical assessments of programs, departments, agencies, authorities, contracts, and vendors. While these audits and reports may uncover problems and issues, they also contain recommendations to improve accountability, efficiency, and transparency, making state government work better for the citizens of the Commonwealth.
In 1976, Congress established the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to provide the President and others within the Executive Office of the President with advice on the scientific, engineering, and technological aspects of the economy, national security, homeland security, health, foreign relations, the environment, and the technological recovery and use of resources, among other topics.

The Franchise Tax Board is responsible for administering two of California`s major tax programs: personal income tax and corporation tax. FTB also administers other nontax programs and delinquent vehicle registration debt collections on behalf of the Department of Motor Vehicles, and court–ordered debt collections.
