Thoroughbred Diesel opened in 2001 as a one bay shop in Winchester, KY. We operated our shop on three simple ideas; impeccable customer service, lowest possible prices, and fast delivery. We specialized in diesel performance and diesel stock replacement installs. Through our years as strictly a service and performance garage we realized that people all over the country need a place they could trust to call and get free honest advice about their diesel vehicles. It was shortly after that we launched our website and began our "Call For Free Advice" slogan. At Thoroughbred Diesel we know more than just the part numbers, we know the parts. We are still a real shop located in Winchester Kentucky that specialize in diesel performance and diesel repair and, we still offer free advice.
In 2015, an important group of investors alongside a group of experienced professionals in the Reinsurance industry, acquired a majority interest in MBI Americas. Now, XS Global, a well-known regional MGA and Coverholder at Lloyds. The groups footprint and ambitions now encompass the underwriting space, utilizing strong synergies that exist between the groups core business strategy. Our unique structure provides us opportunities to deploy targeted reinsurance capacity both directly to corporates and to retail brokers via expert and locally based underwriters. We are proud to say we invest in talent and our team has proven skills, excellent access, and a proven track record for underwriting profitable business in the Latin America region and beyond.
In 1995, after 35 years in the wholesale building material distribution business, Jerry Merrill founded All American Building Products. His primary goal was to service professional contractors with vinyl siding and windows. Jerrys vision was to be the preferred vendor by providing his customers with superior products, service and wisdom. Mr. Merrill considered it a high compliment when his customers referred to him as "their distributor." In 2000, with the assistance of Kirk Van Vleet, Jerry expanded by opening an office in Tulsa. This opening gave All American full coverage of Oklahoma. Mr. Van Vleet then opened a third location in Fort Smith, Arkansas, in the fall of 2007. Today, it is still our desire to continue with Jerrys vision and to be "Your Distributor."
