Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is a “community development corporation committed to building strong, healthy communities as a lead advocate, coalition builder and direct service provider. CPLC promotes positive change and self-sufficiency to enhance the quality of life for the benefit of those we serve.” CPLC has been committed to serving communities in Arizona since its inception in 1969. Some of the programs included in these areas are housing counseling, clinical counseling, community revitalization, and charter schools. Currently CPLC has 32 sites throughout Arizona serving Latino and Native American communities and rural areas in a culturally and linguistically competent manner. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, one of the largest private charitable foundations in the United States, provides approximately $100 million in annual grants to nonprofits that provide direct services to low-income and vulnerable individuals and families, primarily in the US and Israel.
