The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is the Commonwealth`s largest postsecondary institution with 16 colleges and more than 70 campuses. Elizabeth City State University is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina. St. Mary`s College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. More than 1,800 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary`s River in Southern Maryland.
La Salle University was established in 1863 through the legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the Christian Brothers teaching order, which St. La Salle founded in 1680. La Salle is an educational community shaped by traditional Catholic and Lasallian values.
