The 2013 shutdown of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant left the United States without a domestically developed enrichment capability for the first time since the Manhattan Project. Centrus remains committed to supporting these national priorities. Centrus is working with DOE and Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop and demonstrate advanced centrifuge uranium enrichment technology.
