Surface Oncology is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company focused on using its specialized knowledge of the biological pathways critical to the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) for the development of next-generation therapies to help patients suffering with cancer. Recent advances in understanding how the immune system fights cancer has created a first wave of immunotherapies with profound benefits for some patients. Our diverse clinical and preclinical pipeline of immune-enhancing antibody candidates target the innate and adaptive arms of the immune system to deliver dramatically different therapies for patients and their families. Surface is leveraging its deep understanding of TME biology to target factors and cells that suppress patients’ anti-tumor immune response. Our broad attack on the TME has the potential to convert patients’ non-responsive ‘cold’ tumors into immune-active ones. We push ourselves to break through across all dimensions of our work.
