We coordinated the efforts of nearly 1,000 volunteers, who contributed over 64,000 hours of service. Volunteers of America – Minnesota and Wisconsin has nearly 120 years of experience in services for older adults; adults with special needs; children, youth and families; military and veterans; and those re-entering our communities after incarceration. We provide over $40 million in services to more than 23,000 people annually.
Today` more than 75 million young adults are out of work globally` and three times as many are underemployed. At the same time` 40 percent of employers say a skills shortage is leaving them with entry-level vacancies. Generation is a youth employment nonprofit with a dual mission to empower young people to build thriving` sustainable careers and to provide employers the highly skilled` motivated talent they need. Today` more than 21`000 young adults have graduated from the Generation program` which prepares young adults for careers in nearly 80 cities and 200 locations across eight countries` with five countries in pre-launch. There are more than 800,000 registered sex offenders in the United States. Most states have a different system for tracking these offenders, making it difficult for agencies to keep records when the offenders cross state lines. The OffenderWatch Network is the largest sex offender registry system in the U.S., working with more than 3,000 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in 37 states. Founded in 2000 in Covington, La. under the Watch Systems company, OffenderWatch has expanded to include data on registered sex offenders from sheriffs` offices, police departments, Attorney Generals` offices, U.S. Marshal judicial districts, U.S. attorneys, federal and state probation and parole agents, department of corrections, Indian tribes, and more. The OffenderWatch network enables collaboration and delivers greater efficiency with technology, policy and procedure regarding sex offender monitoring and community notification.
