Located in Sparta, TN, Highlands Medical Center is a 60-bed acute-care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. Founded in 1929 by Dr. E.B. Clark, the hospital currently employs more than 230 people at its current modern facility, which was built in 1996. HMC is a part of the Capella-Saint Thomas system of hospitals, a joint venture between Capella Healthcare and Saint Thomas Health, along with sister hospitals River Park Hospital in McMinnville, DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville, and Stones River Hospital in Woodbury. The hospital is one of the area’s largest employers and tax payers.
A 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services Provides & supports health care & community service programs of excellence in the communities we serve. Chadron Community Hospital is now located in a brand new facility with 25 private rooms. Chadron Community Hospital has become the First facility in Nebraska to exchange data with NESIIS in the production environment in real-time, via PHINMS.
