West Points competitive sports programs support the Army values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. It is designed to teach these values in an athletic setting. The nature of competitive sports provides opportunities that are difficult to replicate in the conventional classroom, in other extracurricular activities, or in military field training.
