AnMed Health is South Carolina’s largest, independent not-for-profit health system. It serves an eight-county area that covers much of the upstate and northeast Georgia. With 450 physicians on the medical staff and nearly 4,000 employees, AnMed Health is Anderson County’s largest employer. The health care industry requires professionals from numerous backgrounds, and AnMed Health continues to attract these professionals from across the nation to work in one of the fastest growing health care systems in the state. Our investment in employees doesn’t stop once a new employee enters the organization. We believe in encouraging and nurturing all employees through tuition assistance, on-site classes and organization-wide training in order to avoid stagnation in the fast-paced, ever-changing industry that is health care. These programs are just a few reasons the American Society for Training and Development recognized AnMed Health with its BEST Award. Starting a fulfilling career at AnMed Health is only made better by the fact that the health system is located in a growing area steeped in history and characterized by Southern hospitality. Anderson is the county seat for Anderson County, which borders Hartwell Lake and has made the county a destination for outdoor recreation. Anderson University, Tri-County Technical College and the close proximity of Clemson University mean that this area is fanatical about college education and sports. Much like the surrounding area, AnMed Health is growing because it adheres to its mission to passionately blend the art of caring with the science of medicine to optimize the health of its patients, staff and community. At AnMed Health, “we’re in this together.” We breathe life into this slogan by continuously looking for opportunities to work in collaboration with others within the workplace and throughout the region to achieve our mission and vision.
