In 2007, Ivanka seized an opportunity to launch a jewelry collection with a potential partner in real estate—an acquaintance with longstanding ties to the luxury jewelry market and significant expertise in diamonds. She was drawn to the idea of creating a jewelry line for women buying for themselves. The concept of a self-purchasing female was lost among the traditional jewelers who catered their business almost exclusively to men. And so, the Ivanka Trump brand was born. A few years later, Ivanka identified a void in the fashion space. Recognizing the absence of a brand that addressed the needs of the modern professional woman, Ivanka launched her eponymous fashion label with an assortment of chic, appropriately sexy and accessibly priced shoes and handbags. Women appreciated the fresh sensibility and fuss-free practicality. The business took off. The line grew to include apparel, accessories, home, fragrance and sunglasses—and it didn`t stop there. Ivanka realized there was an opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the women buying her products—and so she brought together a team to evolve the brand into a lifestyle concept dedicated to women who work. This site is the realization of that vision. It`s a celebration of women working at all aspects of their lives. Women who transition between their various roles in professional and personal capacities: building careers, raising children, nurturing relationships and pursuing passions.

How does a single store in Omaha, Nebraska, become one of the largest jewelry stores in the nation? By never forgetting our history. It began 150 years ago, when Louis Borsheim had a vision to help others celebrate special occasions with fine jewelry, watches and gifts. In 1947, Louis Friedman bought the business and operated it with his son Ike. While Louis and Ike Friedman kept the Borsheims name, they ushered in a new era of success for the jewelry store. Ike, a dynamic businessman, developed the business philosophy that still guides our company today: offer an extensive inventory and exceptional customer service at the most competitive prices. It was an approach that worked, leading Borsheims to outgrow our downtown facility and move to the anchor position in Regency Court mall in 1986. In 1989, renowned investor Warren Buffett purchased a majority stake of Borsheims, making it part of his famous holding company, Berkshire Hathaway. Borsheims continues to grow today under the leadership of President and CEO Karen Goracke. Our location in Omaha`s Regency district is more than 62,500 square feet and includes private viewing spaces, large watch department, gift gallery, full-service jewelry repair and design shop, and an expansive jewelry showroom that is unlike any other in the country. Mission Statement: We are privileged to share in the special moments of our customers` lives. We will treat each opportunity with the respect and importance it deserves by providing exceptional customer service. Standards of Performance: Respect • Customer Orientation • Support Initiative • Team Player • Credibility
