VDAs target the tumor vasculature rather than the tumor cells and therefore have broad potential therapeutic utility in cancer. Because VDAs act differently than anti-angiogenic drugs or cytotoxic chemotherapy drugs, VDAs are potentially complementary with anti-angiogenic drugs and chemotherapeutic agents.
