ALung Technologies has developed the Hemolung Respiratory Assist System (RAS), a dialysis-like alternative or supplement to mechanical ventilation. The Hemolung RAS provides Respiratory Dialysis,a simple, less invasive form of extracorporeal CO2 removal. By removing carbon dioxide and delivering oxygen directly to the blood, the Hemolung RAS allows the patients lungs to rest and heal.
