Harmony Public Schools is a network of K-12 college preparatory charter schools across Texas. For more than a decade, our schools have provided students from under-served communities the opportunity to excel in their studies in a small classroom environment focused on providing the skills they need to succeed in life. The Texas-based non-profit organization was established by a group of dedicated educators and university academicians who were passionate about the way children approached math and science. Since 2000 HPS has grown to 46 campuses, 28,500 students, with a 98 percent graduation rate for seniors and 100 percent college acceptance rate. Our mission is to prepare each student for higher education by providing a safe, caring, and collaborative atmosphere featuring a quality, student-centered educational program with a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

All of our nurses are experienced, multi-skilled, independent, creative, flexible and most important-care for kids! Several of our school nurses have received national certification in school nursing. School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success and life-long achievement of students. It is not uncommon for our nurses to care for students with asthma, diabetes, cerebral palsy, seizures, blood disorders, high blood pressure, ADHD, obesity, organ transplant recipients, etc. For any questions or concerns that you may have, please feel free to contact the nurse at your child`s school. The ability to learn is contingent on the health and well-being of the child- for this reason, the primary goal of Cherokee County School District`s nursing services is to maximize EACH child`s health so that they can achieve their academic potential.
