The City of Miami is known as the “Magic City” and is the largest municipality in Miami-Dade County. Our world renowned skyline stretches across Biscayne Bay. According to the most recent US Census estimates (July 2015) 441,003 people call Miami home. Many of our residents come from Caribbean Islands and Central and South America. In fact, 70% of our population is Hispanic or Latino. The City of Miami is governed by Mayor Francis Suarez, City Manager Emilio Gonzalez and 5 City Commissioners who oversee their districts in the City including neighborhoods like Wynwood, Little Haiti, Little Havana and Brickell, which is the heart of our thriving financial district. The City has 4,864 employees working in 37 departments from Agenda Coordination to Zoning. We have 137 parks, 3 of which are designated National Forest Communities. There are Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET) offices in 11 different communities providing convenient access to services. The Miami Trolley provides free transportation throughout the city and recently surpassed a major milestone - 5 million riders. We are the City of Miami - a great place to live, work and play!

The Town of Freetown is a pastoral community in Bristol County with a small summer colony and a maritime history. The town`s early economy was based mostly on agriculture, but the water power of the Assonet River eventually brought grist, saw and fulling mills after 1695 and in the 18th century the town`s industries included a tannery. One of the state`s first trout hatcheries was established in Freetown, and in the 1870`s railroad dining cars and the luxurious dining rooms of ocean liners were serving Freetown trout.
Sylvania Township is one of the eleven townships in Lucas County, Ohio. As of 2010 the township had a total population of 48,487, making it the second most populous county subdivision in Lucas County, the third most in northwest Ohio and the 8th most populous township in Ohio. The township is governed by a three member Board of Trustees, a Fiscal Officer and a full-time Administrator. There are seven main departments: Administration, Fire, Police, Road, Fiscal, Zoning and Service. The boundaries of Sylvania Township changed in 1867 when the Lucas County Commissioners set apart property within the boundaries of Sylvania Township to establish the Village of Sylvania, which in 1960 became the City of Sylvania.
