The Los Banos Unified School District is composed of approximately 9,000 students, K-12. From 2000-0008, our enrollment growth has averaged 3.89% per year. Students are housed in seven elementary schools, and one junior high school (grades 7-8), one comprehensive high school, one alternative high school and one community day school. The District has an adult education program and also operates the Learning Center, a latchkey child care program and STAR, a before/after school program. Governed by a 7-member Board of Education, the District employs approximately 575 certificated and 425 classified employees and oversees an annual budget in excess of $84,000,000. We are upgrading and building new school facilities to house our rapidly increasing enrollment.
