In order to accomplish this objective and continuing the companys rapid growth, we are investing in a Strategic HR business partner who has leadership, professional experience, intellectual proficiency, business acumen and previous experience in a technology organization to assume the position of Director, Human Resources Business Partner. The Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner will report directly to the Head, People and support the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operations Officer and their respective organizations.
About the Job:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Director, HR Business Partner will be effective at managing relationships with both LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual, an influential and credible leader capable of working with a diverse group of senior leaders with varying styles. This individual will be responsible for understanding the business objectives of LearnVest, Northwestern Mutual and the Integration in the Technology organization and providing the appropriate human resources expertise, strategy, process and/or programs to deliver business results. The candidate must be capable of working in and through a matrix management environment with both business leaders and HR peers/partners, in the midst of change and navigate effectively an acquisition.
Job Requirements:
• Experience as a Senior HR Business Partner/Leader with a focus in Technology.
• Ability to understand the business, the talent deep into the organization.
• Partner directly with business leaders to develop business objectives and plans, understanding how to design and implement HR strategies to ensure the organization, capabilities and culture that all assist in driving business results.
• Manage effectively through change; get people comfortable with ambiguity and change in the midst of an acquisition. Provide leadership and credibility with the team in navigating through uncertainty.
• Understand LearnVest and Northwestern Mutuals strategic direction and purpose. Provide or develop HR programs, strategies and processes that drive rewards & compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, employee relations and learning to achieve business results.
• Effectively partner with and leverage programs and policies with possible Northwestern Mutual partners.
• Support the senior leadership team by providing coaching and counsel to senior executives to further develop their leadership capability.
• Partner with senior management and leadership teams of the client organization to design and build organizational capability to delivering against the strategic goals and objectives of the businesses.
• Improve HR ability through partnering with other members of the HR team to develop and implement new and / or improved strategies and programs. Introduce HR expertise and capability to the HR team.
Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of human resources experience, with minimum 5+ years in an increasingly senior and complex business environment, influencing and driving results
• Strong business acumen that includes an extensive knowledge of the business, a clear understanding of the market, competition, procedures, HR disciplines and culture.
• Strong stakeholder management skills that include the ability to effectively consult, negotiate, resolve conflict and influence change.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to build a plan and execute.
• Proven ability to be a thought leader, provide strategic thought leadership, data driven thinking and solve multifaceted issues and challenges.
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team player to develop effective partnerships, relationships and collaborate with a variation of stakeholders at all levels.
