Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA)

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is an advanced automotive manufacturing facility located in Ellabell, Georgia. It serves as Hyundais third production hub in the U.S., complementing existing facilities in Alabama and Georgia. Designed as a Software Defined Factory, HMGMA integrates AI and robotics to support Hyundais vision for a technology-driven future in mobility. The facility spans 2,900 acres and will employ over 8,500 workers, with an additional 6,900 jobs created at off-site suppliers. HMGMA aims to produce 500,000 vehicles annually, including electric and hybrid models like the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 9. The plant represents a significant investment of approximately $12.6 billion, marking one of the largest economic development projects in Georgias history. HMGMA also emphasizes sustainability by utilizing hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks for logistics, showcasing its commitment to environmentally responsible operations.
