For many years the organization has placed a strong emphasis on serving Hispanics through employing a cadre of fully bilingual, bicultural staff.
Lake Shore currently operates licensed programs which include outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinics, Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS), Homeless Services, case management, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Vocational Services. Lake Shore also operates a 20-bed residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting women and their children and a 16-bed Safe Haven residence for chronically homeless individuals with mental illnesses.
Lake Shore Behavioral Health, Inc. was incorporated as a 501 (c )(3) nonprofit corporation in 1972. It operates programs licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
