Responsible for overall management of the technology department, using strategic planning, data driven decision making, and continuous improvement principles to plan, design, develop and implement all district technology needs and initiatives, both technical and instructional. Develops and manages IT customer relations, business resiliency and risk, enterprise information and maintains information technology solutions. Responsible for deploying information technology solutions, delivering and supporting information technology services, and managing IT knowledge.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Bachelor`s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Applications and/or related fields
Master`s degree in Educational Leadership, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of computer network, hardware, and software applications
Knowledge of computer applications development and implementation
Knowledge of infrastructure and wireless networking
Ability to manage budget and personnel, coordinate district function; implement policy and procedures
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret data
Knowledge of TxEIS, Google applications and Eduphoria
Experience:
Three or more years of technology related management experience
Public school experience preferred
