Founded as Brooklyn`s first voluntary hospital, The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) has been keeping Brooklyn healthy since 1845. Today, it is a 464-bed, community, teaching hospital, offering primary and specialized medical care, sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic services, cutting-edge technology, and specialized surgery to over 300,000 patients annually. Located in the heart of Brooklyn’s downtown revitalization district, TBHC is a clinical affiliate of the Mount Sinai Health Hospital and an Academic Affiliate of The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. TBHC has fully accredited, independent residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Family Practice, General Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and trains more than 250 physicians each year.

Northport Medical Center is a 204-bed community hospital that offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The facility also operates important specialty services, including the DCH Rehabilitation Pavilion and North Harbor Pavilion for mental health. Fayette Medical Center, through a lease agreement with the DCH Health System, is a 61-bed rural hospital that offers the residents of Fayette County inpatient care, along with sophisticated diagnostic equipment, surgical techniques and specialty clinics. A 122-bed nursing home on site is fully accredited and licensed for intermediate and skilled nursing care.

The MESH Coalition supports effective healthcare sector emergency management by providing preparedness and planning services, innovative clinical education and training programs, healthcare intelligence services, and legal, regulatory, policy, and financial analysis. Through our systems-based approach to preparedness, MESH enables our healthcare partners to work together more effectively while using fewer resources. Founded in 2008, the MESH Coalition is considered one of the most sophisticated organizations of its kind in the United States. Originally funded through a grant from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, MESH is sustained primarily through the support of subscribing healthcare organizations.
