Visus Technology, Inc. was founded for the purpose of integrating and developing solutions to improve the quality of life for people with a wide range of vision impairment, from mild loss of vision to no light perception or complete blindness. We wanted to make it easy for the visually impaired to participate fully in day-to-day activities without the need for multiple devices. We saw no reason why it should be necessary to have one device for reading books, another for identifying objects, a third for socializing, a fourth for navigating, and so on. With these concerns in mind, we set as our goal the development of an integrated suite of software solutions to assist visually impaired people with communication and everyday needs. Visus Technology, Inc.’s brand values are closely intertwined with the primary product, the VelaSense® application suite, which is designed to enhance the lives of people who have various levels of visual impairment. We believe in independence, connectedness, sociability and full participation, and we are forward-thinking. Along with our product comes hope and promise for the future.
