By 1928, it was clear that the automobile was literally driving the American way of life. So he brought his idea to then Ohio Governor Vic Donahey, and the Motorists Mutual Insurance Company was born on November 19, 1928. The company was founded with an initial investment of just $15,000 and a philosophy that is the foundation of the company to this day.
